The extract is rich in bioflavonoids. The dry matter content of proanthocyanidin amounts to about 95 percent. The extract is gained from seeds and then encapsulated in liposomes. Liposomes are simultaneously used as carrier systems as well as linoleic acid supplier.

The product acts as a strong antioxidant and protects the skin against oxygen radicals. In addition to that, the phosphatidylcholine contained in liposomes provides cell protective and hence synergetic features. For corneotherapeutic treatments the liposomal extract may be combined with grape seed oil.

Remarks

The concentrated active agent should be applied sparingly to the skin similar to dabbing in an ampoule product.

Liposomes increase the effectiveness of the different components of a cream and if applicable, also the effects of skin pre- and follow-up treatments as they improve the penetration of other substances. Liposomes make the skin very receptive for other substances and may at first leave an experience of dry skin, which then will change to a feeling of a very soft skin surface.
