KOKO Kosmetikvertrieb GmbH & Co. KG was founded on 03.08.1994. Since 31.12.1998 Dr. Hans Lautenschläger is  shareholder and since 1.1.2001 major shareholder. Partner liable to unlimited extent is KOKO Kosmetikvertrieb Verwaltungs-GmbH, Leichlingen, of which the major shareholder and managing director is also Dr. Lautenschläger.

Dr. Hans Lautenschläger studied chemistry and physics at the Free University of Berlin. From 1977 to 1987, Dr. Lautenschläger worked as department manager in the R&D division of Nattermann & Cie. GmbH in Cologne and developed new pharmaceutical actives for lipid metabolism disorders, inflammation and heart, blood and circulation diseases. From 1987 to 1990, Dr. Lautenschläger changed over to the development and application department for phospholipids of the Nattermann Phospholipid GmbH. From 1990 to 1998, Dr. Lautenschläger became general manager of the Rhenus Wilhelm Reiners GmbH in Mönchengladbach; in this period innovative metalworking fluids and skin protection products have been created. As managing director and shareholder he built up the KOKO GmbH & Co. KG into a worldwide acting company with an export share of 70%.

KOKO Kosmetikvertrieb GmbH & Co. KG develops, produces and distributes the skin care products dermaviduals^® via dermatological practices with associated cosmetic departments and via authorised pharmacies specialised in corneotherapeutic treatment.

KOKO Kosmetikvertrieb GmbH & Co. KG is member of the Industrieverband Körperpflege- und Waschmittel e.V. - IKW (German Cosmetic, Toiletry, Perfumery and Detergent Association) and supporting member of the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Dermopharmazie e.V. - GD (German Society of Dermopharmacy). KOKO pursues an open policy based on mutual confidence. Any suggestions and ideas resulting from practical use are very welcome in order to further develop our dermaviduals^® product system.

dermaviduals^® products are protected by patents. Background information and latest scientific results are published regularly in neutral form. Essential objective is a close cooperation between beauty institutes and dermatologists. Thus, cosmetic skin care and prevention form an integral whole together with the dermatological treatment in the medical practices.

Dr. Lautenschläger is member of the Arbeitsgemeinschaft für ästhetische Dermatologie und Kosmetologie e.V. - ADK (Syndicate for Esthetic Dermatology and Cosmetology), the Deutsche Gesellschaft für wissenschaftliche und angewandte Kosmetik e.V. - DGK (German Association for Scientific and Applied Cosmetics) and the Gesellschaft Deutscher Chemiker e.V. - GdCH (German Chemical Society).
Dr. Lautenschläger is author of numerous publications and patents.
